I have had several T22s over the years. Not a bad machine, but a known problem means they have a limited life (by my standards — I tend to use hardware longer than most, and it is sually already used by the time I get it — I'm what you might call a "late adopter").
Actually, since the problem is on the motherboard, I suppose one could fix it by simply replacing the motherboard; but since the machines are available quite cheaply second-hand that seems more trouble than it's worth.
The various machines I had ran Slackware 11.0 for me for many years, ever since I stopped using "desktop" PCs altogether.
My last model's specs were: Pentium III 700Mhz, 512MB, 30GB.
