Problems

Sound files were played at half-speed.

Why? First I fiddled with the device driver, with conspicious lack of success. Eventually I found the cause: there is a BIOS setting, saving power by reducing PCI bus speed Switch this off, the problem disappears. My research revealed that this is a known issue, there is a fix for it in Net & Free BSD which never made it to Open.

Apart from that? It "just works".
